Heather Berthoud, M.S. and Michael F. Broom, Ph.D. are both seasoned change management professionals well known in the field. In addition, Michael is a skilled psychologist who has learned how to the dynamically relate the arenas of personal empowerment and human systems change. Heather's amalgamation of social activism, martial arts, and organization development skill make the two of them a powerful combination.
Heather has been providing capacity-building and organization development consulting services for over 15 years. She believes deeply in everyone's inherent excellence. Seeing people and organizations reach their potential despite their uncertainty gives her great joy. Heather is known for being forthright, focused, and humorous. As a long-time student and teacher of Tae Kwon Do, Heather maintains the discipline, calm, and positive expectancy of the martial arts. A committed teacher, Heather is also an adjunct faculty of the AU/NTL masters program in Organization Development and a member of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science. Heather is co-founder of Berthoud/Greene Consultants LLC, which specializes in providing organization development support to mission-centered organizations. She can often be heard saying, "Life is short. Enjoy it and make a difference."
Michael has been consulting internally and externally for over 25 years with all types of organizations--for profit, not for profit, and government. He has served on the board of the NTL Institute and chaired its Transformative Social Change Committee. He has been on the faculties of Johns Hopkins, Georgetown and American Universities. He is the co-author with Don Klein of Power: The Infinite Game and sole author of The Infinite Organization published Sept. 2002. In 2001, he founded the Center for Human Systems (www.ChumanS.com) designed to support the growth and development of change management practitioners. The Center for Human Systems also sponsors the nine-month Practitioners Programs in Columbia, Maryland, Philadelphia and New York City.
